“The Adventures of Carrie the Girl Chaplin and her Dog Dot”, drawn by George Wakefield, started running on the front page in 1917. Children and childish characters are by now dancing and prancing all over Merry and Bright as it transforms itself into a children’s comic. See also D16, D17 and D19.
