Originally a cover-page attraction until supplanted by Charlie Chaplin, “Our Funny Wonder Boys Willie & Wally” are now on the back page, where, as usual, they play tricks on long-suffering Uncle Jeff. Originally drawn by Bertie Brown, and later – as here – by Bert Livett, this scamp strip, clearly in imitation of the Katzenjammer Kids, ran from 1914 to 1918. See section C.
