Merry and Bright. London: Amalgamated Press. No. 682. 3 May 1930.
Robin Hood and his Merry Men swashbuckled their way through a number of British comics in the twenties and thirties, among them The Rainbow (1920), Lot-o’-Fun (1920), Bubbles (1922–41), The Chicks’ Own (1923), Playtime (1927), Merry and Bright (1930), Sunbeam (1931), The Summer Comic (1932), Mickey Mouse Weekly (1936) and Sparkler (1936–37 and 1938). “Robin Hood and his Merry Men” (above), by Reg Parlett, basically another comical capers strip, ends – as such strips so often do – in a slap-up lunch. Three Parletts contributed to this number of Merry and Bright: Harry (father), and George and Reg (his sons). See also F15 and F16 (same issue).
